Delta Lodge near Bayfield, Wisconsin offers family-friendly, clean vacation cabins in Northern Wisconsin on a beautiful inland lake located only a few miles from Lake Superior, The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and the towns of Bayfield, Ashland, Washburn, Iron River, Cable, and Hayward, Wisconsin.
Our secluded, pet-friendly Northern Wisconsin cabin rentals include 1-6 bedroom cabins generously spaced along 1200 feet of scenic shoreline on a sandy-bottom lake with swimming beach in Bayfield County in Northern Wisconsin’s Chequamegon National Forest.
Adjacent to Delta Lake, the thirteen pet-friendly cabins and main lodge which comprise Delta Lodge are situated on Everett Lake, a pristine glacial lake ideal for swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoeing.
Our Northern Wisconsin pet friendly resort setting encompasses 70 acres and includes 13 lakeside cabins with complete kitchens, screened porches, attractive furnishings, knotty pine interiors and outdoor grills.
The cabins are house-keeping style, which in lodge-language means that each cabin has a kitchen with a standard-size stove/oven and refrigerator, and the essentials for domestic kitchen life. There are 4 two-bedroom cabins, 4 three bedroom cabins, 3 three-bedroom cabins with lofts (new construction), a large old cabin (dubbed the “Animal House”, in honor of John Belushi – good for family
reunions and groups on a budget) and a one-bedroom cabin. All cabins have a screened porch; many of the cabins have decks also.
We stay here every year! We stay here every year in one of the winterized cabins for a relaxing extended weekend. Basic, clean cabins with cozy gas fireplaces. Nice view of the lake. Peaceful setting. Dog friendly which can be hard to find. The fun Delta Diner is nearby. Always nice to catch up with the owners!
2/10/2020Wonderful vacation at Delta Lodge Wanted to visit the Ashland area and stay in a cabin at a resort verses a hotel and found a slice of heaven at the Delta Lodge with Marilyn and her crew. Super nice cabins with everything you need for a comfortable stay for a week in the north woods. The lake is crystal clear and you have another lake just across the road. Loved the gas fire place for ease of heating when our overnight lows were in the thirties, yet cabins have lots of windows and a screened in porch for breezes during the day. Lots of hot water for the shower and great pressure, which is not always the case in the north woods! Beds were also more comfortable than I have experienced in a while. Marilyn perfectly balanced the “there if we needed her, invisible if we did not” that you want from your host when on vacation. Centrally located for us to head to Iron River, Delta, and Ashland for activities and meals, and Bayfield for a day trip. And did I mention the DOGS were welcome TOO? I don’t vacation without my golden retrievers, and they had a blast! GREAT lake for them to swim in, trails easily accessible for walks, in addition to the lodge grounds and quiet road the the property is on. Met other guests that were also just smitten with Delta Lodge. We plan to return next spring and highly... 5/19/2022Quiet weekend retreat My wife and I stayed here with our dog over Memorial Day weekend, and we found it to be such a relaxing, quiet, place that we will likely stay here again. We stayed in cabin #3, which was very clean and had everything we needed to cook our breakfasts and relax. The evenings got fairly chilly at night, but the cabin has a gas fireplace that you'd swear was a true wood burning stove, and it kept us cozy warm through the night. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The lake, Everett Lake, is fairly small, but there weren't any motorized boats etc on the lake, so that contributed to it being so nice and quiet. The infamous Delta Diner is a mere mile away, and is usually busy but has excellent food. We shared a fire pit with the cabin next to us, and that worked out really well. Firewood is provided and it burned very well. The resort is located on a very quiet road, with very little traffic to keep us awake. We are glad we found the Delta Lodge.
5/29/2019Fun at Delta Lodge We just got home from a week at Delta Lodge! There was almost 40 members of my family there! We all had an amazing time together! The lodge itself is so pretty! That Lake is full of fish! And the owners are wonderful! My husband and I were in cabin#9 AKA The Animal House! It was perfect! Very old and had lots of character! We loved that it was up a hill but we could see the lake from our porch! It had a large fire pit so it was the go to place to gather at the end of the day! There is so much to do in a 50 mile radius! Kayaking, hiking, ATV trails, Lake Superior, Fairy cruises out to the Apostle Islands or you can stay right there and fish, swim or relax! My family highly recommends The Delta Lodge!
6/30/2019Summer Lake Family Vacation This will be our 15th year at Delta Lodge for our family summer lake vacation! This rustic lake cabin experience reminds me of my childhood lake cabin adventures! Our family looks forward to our time at Delta every year. The lake is pristine. The hosts - Marilyn and Andy - have always been very helpful and friendly. There are many day trips we have done and continue to do. Pet friendly places. Fishing is good! Swimming is great! Fun and relaxing!

My Place to Recharge Delta Lodge is one of my favorite places. Period. I’ve been going since I was a kid and I love sharing this place with my kids now. It is a place you don’t often find anymore. It’s simple. It’s peaceful. It’s beautiful. Without a TV to distract you, you watch the waves and listen to the leaves. Instead of your kids playing video games, they jump into the lake, play in the sand or explore in a kayak.
We’ve stayed in many of the cabins 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11 and 12. They offer amazing views and different layouts to meet your needs.
If you are lucky enough to visit Delta Lodge, do me a favor (regardless of your age) and run down the long dock and jump into the lake. It’ll wash away your stress, if only for a moment.
My happy place I have stayed at Delta Lodge many times over the last 18 years. My husband and I needed a get away on our anniversary 18 years ago. We were young and without much in resources. Delta's initial attraction was the affordable price. It is rustic, but clean, comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans/silver and such. What we found and have continued to find over the years is that there is a peace that goes with being in nature and by the water. Marilyn has been a terrific host and we have been able to bring our dogs with us as well. The water front is well maintained and the water is clear. Kayaks, boats, and safety equipment is readily available and with firewood for sale on every business front you pass, Delta has always provided as much firewood as you can use for free as part of your stay. I have had wonderful stays in cabins 10 (my favorite), 7, and this year I was able to bring my daughter and her family with us to stay in cabin 12. The teenage girls loved having their own space in the loft, and my daughter who cannot be in the sun made much use of the screened in porch. It was the BEST visit ever as I was able to watch another generation of my family fall in love with my happy place. We have already booked cabins 10 and 8 for next year and plan to bring up my youngest daughter and her family. Cannot wait to get away to this place where I can completely unplug, unwind, and enjoy my husband and family without interruption or distraction. I hope you all love it as much as I do.
7/20/20223rd Year There Each year I take my family to Delta Lodge for a week. This year we stayed in cabin 11 which fit our family needs perfectly! We had plenty of room, plenty of peaceful areas to escape to and also nice areas to hang out in a group. There were a couple of days with some rain and wind so the screened in patio was amazing! The kids ages from 6-16 had daily blasts in the game room playing pool and putting puzzles together. We were able to see several turtles laying their eggs around the cabins which was a great experience! There are LOTS of kayaks and canoes, great areas to swim and fish so everyone has a great time. This is our 3rd year going and we are all excited to go again next year. Marilyn is always accommodating for anything we need! All in all GREAT experiences!! More

Wonderful Delta Lodge! We have been going to Delta Lodge for over 17 years and absolutely love it! For many years, we stayed in cabin #5, #1 or #11. We started when our children were young and active! We also had a black lab and were so excited that we could bring him along as well! All of us loved playing and swimming on the beach and in the water! My husband loves to go fishing in the early morning. Upon his return, we hear about the various fish he caught.
The cabins our well maintained. Marilyn, the lodge owner, has been easily accessible and flexible when we with our needs or requests. Our kids are young adults now and still love to return annually! My husband and I also love being able to come up for long weekends throughout the year - enjoying the Autumn colors or cross-country skiing.
There are fun things you can do at Delta Lodge such as swimming, kayaking, or fishing, There are also many fun outings you can take within an hour's drive such as hiking at Copper Falls state park or walking the beach at the Apostle Islands National Lake shore - just to name a couple we enjoy.
For us, it truly is our happy place!
18 Years and Counting! We've stayed at Delta Lodge regularly since 2004, my spouse and I (and our Siberian Husky) started in Cabin #6. Since then, we've stayed in nearly all the cabins, from the smallest to the largest, fall, summer and spring, and each time has been special, enjoyable and relaxing. This is a true lakeside Northwoods family and dog-friendly cabin experience. The cabins are clean and cozy, with soft beds and plenty of hot water, extra chairs, easy to use fireplaces and storage spaces, outlets etc. But they ARE cabins: you bring your own food, beverages, towels and entertainment. Occasionally, Delta gets nit-pickers who expect room or laundry service, or someone who fluffs your pillow or sweeps the cottonwood seeds off the porch screen while you're away. If you're like that, go find a B&B (and good luck finding one that will let your dogs come with). If you like to fish, kayak, cycle, walk/hike or just need a cozy home base while you explore Bayfield Country, Delta Lodge and its nearby neighbor, Delta Diner, are like home. It's a huge part of my family's recreational history and we'll always come back so long as we're able.
